Here is a poster describing our annual Old Stone House Day; this year the celebration is centered around Orleans County's cultural heritage. Come hear Scottish bagpipes and French Canadian fiddles! See old-time trades and crafts in action!

New Event Photos!

In the month of June, the Orleans County Historical Society was busy with special events! The first was the annual Antique Gas and Steam Engine Show on June 20th and 21st. On June 23rd, the Horseless Carriage Club of America members brought some of their pre-1914 cars to visit! Then on June 27th, the annual Big Band Dance happened. Here are some photos:

Orleans County Grammar School Anecdotes

There is a new page on our site, called Orleans County Grammar School History. You will find it under the Local History section. It's a collection of stories from students who were taught at the "Brownington Academy" by Alexander Twilight and stayed at the dormitory, also known as the Old Stone House.
