Quilt for Baby: Join Quilter Cathie Sheehan on two fun evenings and sew a quilt 39" x 50”. She will guide you through piecing techniques, rotary cutting, sewing and finishing a small coverlet. Woodcarving: Learn to carve simple three dimensional birds or animals. Woodcarver Allen Yale has designed a class for people with little or no carving experience. Beginning with proper tool sharpening techniques. students will visualize ideas, layout their pattern on wood, cut blanks and begin carving. Basswood and some knives will be provided by the instructor as will tool catalogs for ordering additional tools. Bring lunch, your tools and previous work you wish to share. Papermaking by Hand: Learn techniques for preparation and coloring cotton paper pulp, the secrets of sheet forming and molding forms.
